After last week’s Candidate Forum, The Reporter was approached by a Brandon resident who showed us printouts of posts and memes from the Facebook account of Ray Marcoux, who is currently running for Brandon Selectboard.
Empty seats on RNESU school board have no takers
While the race for Brandon Selectboard heats up with the greatest number of contenders in years, the ballot for RNESU board seats remains wide open. Seven seats on the Otter Valley and Barstow boards had yet to receive any candidate interest by the January 29 submission cutoff.

At a well-attended public forum organized by the Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce at Brandon Town Hall on Thursday, February 15, six of the seven candidates for Brandon Selectboard introduced themselves (or re-introduced, in some cases) to the public and answered questions from the audience.

Justin Comes busts out for back-to-back wins at Devil’s Bowl
With dry-slick conditions underneath him, Comes marched forward from the 17th starting position to make an authoritative statement for the win. Comes also scored the Charlie LaDuc “Hard Charger” bonus for gaining a race-high 16 positions.
