This year 144 leaf people ‘born’ at Harvestfest
Despite the fall chill in the air on Sunday, hundreds of residents made their way out to Estabrook Park in Brandon to take part in Harvestfest, the town’s annual celebration of the season.
Brown named to VBM’s Rising Stars
Ally Brown, of Brandon, was recently selected as one of Vermont Business Magazine’s Rising Stars award recipient. The list is comprised of 40 winners under the age of 40. Brown, 29, is one of the youngest to receive the award this year.

OV Hall of Fame adds 12 new members
During halftime of Saturday’s Otter Valley Union High School football game, 12 new members of the Otter Valley Hall of Fame were introduced, including eight athletes, a coach, two teachers and an administrator.
Defender of Vermont land and history, Paul Bruhn, dead at 72
Paul Bruhn, who preserved hundreds of historic sites throughout Vermont and led a movement to fortify downtowns across the state, died this past Thursday at 72.
