BRANDON – Phillip George Baldwin Sr., age 75, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, with his family by his side.
Phil was born in Middlebury on July 1, 1947. He was the son of George and Ora (Waite) Baldwin. He grew up in Brandon where he received his early education and graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, class 1966. He afterward joined the United States Army and served with the Military Police until his Honorable Discharge in 1968. Returning home, he began his working career with White Pigment Corporation in Florence until their closing in 2004, following more than 30 years of service. He later trained as a heating technician and work with Mike’s Fuel. He was forced to retire due to illness in 2012 from the maintenance department at the Vermont Police Academy in Pittsford. He has belonged to Brandon American Legion Post #55 for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed boating and doing puzzles.
He is survived by his wife; Penny (Reed) Baldwin of Bran- don; whom he married August 5, 1985, one son; Phillip “Skip” Baldwin, Jr of Brandon and a daughter; Brandy Baldwin of Pittsford, 3 step-daughters; Sherry Pinkham, Lisa Munger and Kim Bruce all of Brandon. Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, a step-son; Chipper Bruce and 2 brothers; Ronald Baldwin and Donald Waite.
Respecting his wishes, a private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in Forest Dale Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
