The Pittsford Selectboard convened on Wednesday for its second meeting of July.

The Otter Creek Watershed Insect Control Board met to discuss the next steps regarding the recent five-year renewal of their pesticide general permit and to deal with issues surrounding the attendance of certain members of the board.

The Town of Brandon Selectboard met for a little more than half an hour Monday night, efficiently handling several items, including the appointment of a new health officer and agreeing to write a letter of appreciation to local artist Will Kasso Condry in celebration of his recent Vermont Prize win and two letters on behalf of the Brandon Free Public Library. 

Rutland County Sheriff David Fox made an appearance at the Proctor Selectboard Monday night to review his department’s plans for serving the Proctor community for the upcoming year. 

It’s been common during the COVID years to see signs at cash registers asking patrons to use exact change if possible.
