He was a trusted contractor in the construction trade for over forty years. Those who knew Denis loved and respected him. Nobody worked harder to fulfill his family’s dreams. 

Gertrude was born in Rutland on August 19, 1936. She was the daughter of Raymond and Marguerite (Stearns) Tatro. 

She and her late husband owned and operated the Brandon Gift Shop for many years. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church in Brandon, a volunteer at the Brandon Thrift Shop, and enjoyed working on the Brandon Free Public Library’s book sales.

Dan was a proud veteran, serving four years in the United States Air Force.

If asked though, her favorite job was being a mother. She was a hands-on mom who doted on her two children.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. With summer approaching, Grandma, Emma, and Connor had big plans for bike rides, rainy day activities, movies to watch, pool and river days — even jumping on the trampoline.

Shelly Jean (Baker) Hooker, 62, passed away on July 16, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long, tenacious, and courageous battle with cancer.
