Brandon Police still investigating armed robbery

Police released surveillance footage of the robbery.

BRANDON — Two masked males, one armed with a knife, robbed the Champlain Farms convenience store in Brandon on Sunday, November 27, and remain at large. The men, who wore black sweatshirts, black ski masks, sunglasses, and light colored pants, entered the store shortly before 8:12 p.m. and demanded money. 

No one was hurt in the robbery and the store attendant called the Brandon Police immediately. The responding officers arrived at the store and met with the employee who said one of the suspects was armed with a knife while the other suspect was armed with some type of metal fire place poker. 

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store on foot in the direction of Champlain Street, the police reportedd, adding that the suspects were later witnessed getting into a light-colored Subaru and fleeing westbound on Champlain Street. 

The investigation into the robbery is active and ongoing as of press time on Tuesday afternoon, according to Brandon Police Chief David Kachajian. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Brandon Police Department at 802-247-0222.
