Hot on the heels of Green Up Day, comes Net Zero Vermont’s spring transportation challenge, also known as Park Your CARbon week.
From May 16 through May 20 all Vermonters are encouraged to try to travel green for at least one short trip by pledging to leave their car at home. During Park Your CARbon week Vermonters of all stripes will join efforts to carpool, take the bus, cycle, walk and work from home in an effort to save money, protect air quality and hopefully enjoy a renewed sense of quietude on the roads.
Anyone looking for more information about Net Zero Vermont can find it online at netzerovt.org where there is also a space where anyone interested in pledging their participation can add their first name and the name of their town to an ongoing list of participants.
