The current surge in COVID-19 cases led the Pittsford Selectboard to consider alternative ways to hold Town Meeting this year.

Children ages 12 to 15 could soon be eligible to receive a booster shot of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine after the federal Food and Drug Administration authorized the shots on Monday, Jan. 2.

“With a line of cars that never seemed to end, Brandon’s 2nd Annual Reverse Parade was a rousing success!” said Brandon’s assistant recreation director Colleen Wright, adding that area residents also lit up the town with holiday decorations for the annual lighting contest.

Dennis is among dozens of out-of-state residents who have moved in recent years to the Rutland area.

In continuing discussion about whether to allow the retail sale of cannabis in Proctor, the selectboard took up the topic again at its Thursday, Dec. 27 meeting as it decides just what question to pose to voters at the upcoming Town Meeting vote.
