No issues paves way for Brandon SB shortest meeting

By ANGELO LYNN

BRANDON — In a record-setting meeting (at least in recent memory), the Brandon selectboard opened its biweekly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday and adjourned 16 minutes later. The reason: just a “very light” agenda, said selectboard chair Seth Hopkins.

After approving prior minutes from Nov. 28 and Dec. 6, and skipping the Town Manager’s report as David Atherton has been working from home for the past few weeks with ruptured discs in his back, Town Recreation Manager Bill Moore highlighted a few upcoming Holiday events (including the Reverse Parade set for this Sunday 5-6 p.m.), which follows a slide show by Brandon native/author/photographer Caleb Kenna from 4-5 at Brandon Town Hall.

The only action taken by the board was to cancel its next meeting on Dec. 26 (as the town offices are closed that Monday and there are no compelling issues on the agenda), and set the next meeting date for early in January.

After approving expenses, the board adjourned.
