WALLINGFORD — Edward Kenneth Porter, age 67, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Lenny Burke’s Farm in Wallingford.
Mr. Porter was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y. on September 4, 1954. He was the son of Leo and Alice (Proctor) Porter. He grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts where he received his early education. He came to Middlebury in 1994, moving from Lawrence, and later came to Brandon in 2000.
He was a communicant at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon where he had served as an Altar Boy. He has resided in Wallingford since 2018. He enjoyed riding his bike and was an avid fisherman.
Surviving is his guardian, Jonathan Porter of Montpelier; three brothers: Donald Porter of Middlebury, Paul Porter of Bristol, and Fredrick Porter of Lawrence, Mass.; 2 sisters: Rita Deforest and Evelyn Porter, both of Lawrence, Mass. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, James Porter; and two sisters, Mary Porter and Kathleen Porter.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon. Rev. Maurice Moreau, pastor, will be the celebrant. The graveside committal service and burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
