QVUUSU budget passes 666-315

PROCTOR-WESTSIDE-POULTNEY — Voters of the Quarry Valley Unified Union School District voted
overwhelmingly to approve the school budget of $19,096,029, which will result in education spending of $16,870.49 per full time equalized student — substantially below the state average of $19,340 in 2019. The budget amount, which passed 666-315, represented an increase of 1.85% per equalized student.

The number of votes cast on the school budget in each of the three towns representing the district were: Poultney, 575; Proctor, 229; and West Rutland, 222.

In other votes, Michael Moser was elected moderator of the school district with 853 votes; Patricia Kulig was elected treasurer of the district with 867 votes; and Betsy J. Wescott was elected district clerk with 924 votes.
