Members of Proctor High School’s Theater Department will soon perform the musical “The Wizard of Oz”. Shows will take place on April 5 at 6 p.m. and April 6 at 1 p.m. in the auditorium.
Members of Proctor High School’s Theater Department will perform the musical “The Wizard of Oz” on April 5 at 6 p.m. and April 6 at 1 p.m. in the school auditorium.
Almost 30 students have been working since the middle of January to bring the imaginations of a young Kansas girl to life. Based on the original children’s story by L. Frank Baum and the 1939 film, this production will feature 21 students on the stage and is perfect for audiences of all ages.
The lead role of Dorothy will be played by Jade Rivers. Maggie McKearin will play the role of the scarecrow; Nate Greb performs as the Cowardly Lion; and Susan Atwood will play the Wicked Witch of the West.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students/seniors and all proceeds will go toward the PrHS Theater Department for the production of future shows.
