On July 9th, the town of Brandon will be hosting the first Davenport Electric Fest to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the birth of Thomas Davenport, the Forest Dale inventor who patented the world’s first battery-powered electric motor.

The library is now tabled to be moved to its temporary location at the town hall next April, with asbestos removal and construction beginning in earnest in June 2023.

The upbeat mood of the overflowing crowd at the Proctor Junior Senior High School graduation matched the blue skies and bright sunshine this past Saturday morning as 22 seniors graduated in the class of 2022. 

Families, friends, and community members filled the stands of West Rutland School on June 10 to celebrate the 15 high school graduates.

The bleachers at Markowski Field were overflowing on Saturday, June 11, as members of area communities showed up to support the graduating senior class of 2022. Families, friends, faculty, and staff all looked on in anticipation.
