Time Machine: Around the world by horse & buggy
On an obscure shelf in an obscure cabinet in the Brandon Free Public Library lay a coral-pink announcement for an event that took place in Brandon on July 24, 1907: a trip around the world by horse-&-buggy “boat,” leaving from the “Brandon Inn Pier” and traveling to Ireland, Germany, Italy, Japan, and America, all for the extremely reasonable price of 50 cents (approximately $15 today).
7th-grade OV girls’ hoop beats Rutland at home, 22-19
The Otter Valley 7th-grade girls’ basketball team had a terrific home game against Rutland on Friday, February 10.

The Otter Valley wrestling team continued its dominant season with a first-place finish at the Jason Lowell Memorial Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Mount Mansfield Union High School.

About two seconds remained in the boys’ basketball game at Mount Abraham Friday evening when Otter Valley Union High School freshman guard Connor Denis launched a contested three-pointer from the arc’s right side.
