- BPD responded to call from Neshobe School regarding a child who had left school grounds and was walking along Forest Dale Road. The child was located by the officers and returned to the school without further incident.

- Vehicle stop on Grove Street for failure to maintain travel lane. Warning issued.
- Vehicle stop on Champlain Street for failure to obey traffic signal. Warning issued for signal violation and ticket issued for driving without a valid license.
- Officers attempted to serve a citation on an individual on Deer Run Road for the Rutland City Police. The individual was not located.
- Vehicle stop on Union Street for driving in the opposite lane. It was determined that the driver had a criminally suspended license. A citation was issued to appear before the Rutland County Superior Court for arraignment on 3/11/24 at 10 a.m.
- Vehicle stop on Franklin Street for failure to display license plates. Warning issued.
December 13
- BPD received a report of a possible theft by relatives of a deceased individual’s property. The matter was determined to be civil in nature and the complainant was advised to contact an attorney regard the deceased’s estate.
- BPD performed its annual evidence room audit.
- Officers served a Temporary Relief from Abuse Order on an individual on Hollow Road. The order was served without incident.
- BPD conducted a welfare check on an individual living on Forest Dale Road. The check was requested by a concerned family member who was worried that the individual may be suicidal. The complainant later advise BPD that the check was not necessary and that the individual was safe and sound.

December 14
- Officer served a subpoena to an individual on Morning Dove Lane.
- Officers responded to an medical emergency on Dyer Street to assist the Brandon Area Rescue Squad. The individual was later transported to the hospital for further treatment.
- Vehicle stop on Grove Street for obstructed windshield. Warning issued.
- Vehicle stop on Grove Street near Lovers Lane for traveling 85 mph in a 50-mph zone. The driver was issued a ticket and placed under arrest for Excessive Speed. The driver was issued a citation to appear in Rutland for arraignment on 3/18/24 at 10 a.m.
December 15
- Two vehicle stops on Champlain Street for speeding. Tickets issued to both drivers.
- BPD assisted crisis workers from Rutland Mental Health with locating and checking on the welfare of a man who had made comments to a family member about inflicting self-harm. The subject was located on Town Farm Road after he fled from the officers. He later met with the crisis workers and was determined not to have caused himself any harm.
- BPD responded to McConnell Road and Franklin Street for a report of a 5-gallon gas tank that was in the roadway and was spilling fuel. The tank was removed and Brandon Fire Department and the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources were contacted about the spilled fuel.
- BPD responded to a vehicle crash in the vicinity of Birch Hill Road and Sugar Hollow Road, which runs into Pittsford. The caller advised that the driver was in a snowbank and appeared to be intoxicated. Officers determined that the crash occurred on the Brandon side of the town line and that the driver was extremely intoxicated. Vermont State Police also responded to the call and took the driver into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. BPD assisted with the investigation and traffic control.
- BPD conducted a vehicle stop on Union Street after an oncoming vehicle swerved into the lane occupied by a traveling BPD car, causing the officer to have to leave his lane to avoid a head-on collision. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected signs of impairment in the driver, who was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI and Negligent Operation. He was also issued two tickets for cell-phone use and failure to maintain travel lane.
- BPD received a report of a truck that was unable to turn around in the vicinity of the Sanderson Bridge on Pearl Street. The driver was able to turn around without police assistance.
- Police observed an abandoned vehicle parked at Champlain Farms with drug paraphernalia and an open alcohol container. The vehicle was subsequently towed. Investigation is ongoing.
December 16
- BPD responded to a single-car crash on Route 73. The apparent cause of the crash was icy roadways. The driver was not injured.
- BPD received a report of a vehicle in the parking lot of Hannaford Supermarket in which a parent appeared to be allowing a child to start the car they were in.
- Vehicle stop at McConnell Road and Forest Dale Road for a stop sign violation. Warning issued.
- Vehicle stop at Forest Dale Road and North Street for failure to maintain travel lane. Warning issued.
- Vehicle stop on North Street for stop sign violation. The driver was determined to have a civilly suspended license and was issued a ticket.
- Vehicle stop at Park Street and Franklin Street for defective equipment. Warning issued.
- Vehicle stop for speeding and driving on the shoulder on Conant Square. The officer observed signs of impairment in the driver, who was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI.

- Officers assisted Brandon Rescue on Stanton Road for a report of a woman experiencing a mental-health crisis who was thought to be suicidal. The individual was located unharmed and transported to Rutland Hospital for treatment.
