State Champions! West Rutland battles Proctor down to the wire, 57-56
The West Rutland Golden Horde girl’s basketball team won the school’s second state championship in Division IV girls basketball in the past four years by defeating rival Proctor, 57-56, at the Barre Auditorium this past Saturday.
State to drop masking in schools on March 14th
Last week, Vermont Gov. Phil Scott announced that the state would no longer recommend that students wear masks in schools after March 14, a change in masking guidelines that included all public indoor spaces.

Otter golfers win back-to-back Division II state titles
Sparked by a medalist performance by sophomore Lucas Politano, the Otter Valley Union High School boys’ golf team claimed its second consecutive Division II championship on Thursday, Oct. 13.

OV girls’ soccer extends winning streak to four games
One of the hallmarks of great teamwork is communication. This is true in business and relationships, as well as in sports, and it has been a big part of the OV girls’ soccer team’s three-game win streak coming into Friday’s showdown with Springfield—including a 7-0 lambasting of Mill River on September 28.
