Refurbished West Rutland Marsh boardwalk debuts
Through a generous donation, Rutland County Audubon has been able to successfully refurbish nearly the entire boardwalk on Marble Street at the West Rutland Marsh.

Claire Pate (nee LaPorte) of Brandon wrote in to let us know that Leland B. Parmelee and Gale B. Parmelee, veterans of World War I and the Korean War, respectively, were members of her family.

Brandon Police Report: Dialing 911 is not child’s play
A passing motorist contacted Brandon Police on the morning of Jan. 16 to report a woman sitting on a guard rail on Route 73 in the area between the Junction Store and the Goshen line, and having some type of mental health crisis.

Walking through the halls of Proctor Elementary School, Shondell Dahm is greeted with hive-fives and shouts of “Hola” or “Adios” from a travelling pack of six year olds. She greets them, returning the high-fives, and speaks to them about their day in Spanish with a big smile on her face.

OV Hall of Fame adds 12 new members
During halftime of Saturday’s Otter Valley Union High School football game, 12 new members of the Otter Valley Hall of Fame were introduced, including eight athletes, a coach, two teachers and an administrator.
