BRANDON—Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union Superintendent Kristen Hubert announced via e-mail on Tuesday night that both the Otter Valley Unified Union (OVUU) and Barstow Unified Union (BUU) budgets had been approved by voters.
The OVUU budget passed 755 to 701.
The BUU budget passed 307 to 77.
Superintendent Hubert wrote that the school boards “worked hard to bring forth a responsible budget that puts the needs of students first, and the support of the voters makes this possible.”
OVUU district voters also elected the following to the School Board:
- Kevin Thornton to represent Brandon
- Brett Mullins to represent Pittsford
- Fernanda Canales to represent Goshen
- Brent Scarborough and Paul Lathrop as at-large members
There were not enough write-in votes for any single candidate from Leicester.
