RNESU teachers honored by district

BRANDON — Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union hosted the annual Celebration of Contribution and Commitment on Oct. 21 to recognize, honor and celebrate teachers and staff members who have made outstanding contributions and have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to excellence.

Kristen Aines was chosen as the RNESU Outstanding Teacher for grades Pre-K to 6, along with Frannie Willard as the RNESU Outstanding Teacher for High School for the 2019 UVM Teacher of the Year award.

“I am honored to work with the dedicated faculty and staff of RNESU schools. These individuals are being recognized for going above and beyond for the children in our schools,” Superintendent of Schools, Jeanné Collins said, “We don’t often stop and recognize the talent that exists in our schools and the dedication our teachers and staff demonstrate. This event lets us do that, as it is well deserved.”

Collins said the RNESU is dedicated to the development of character, competence, creativity and community and would not be able to uphold this mission without individuals like those being honored.

“We thank the honorees for their continued contributions and commitment to our students and communities,” she said.

The 2018-2019 school year honorees included:

Distinguished Teachers: Susan Alberico – Lothrop Elementary School; Christine Noonan – Otter Creek Academy – Leicester; Frannie Willard – Otter Valley Union High School; Andrea Eugair – RNESU.
