The Otter Valley baseball team continued their dominance of Division II as they faced off against Harwood on Tuesday, June 4, with a trip to the state finals on the line.

The Otters scored three times in the first and that was all the support senior Josh Beayon needed as he threw a complete game with only 75 pitches. OV added three more in the sixth and the final score was 6-1.

Senior Kollin Bissette drove in two runs in the first inning, more than enough to get past Harwood and head to the finals.

The Otters will head to Centennial Field to take on Fair Haven on Friday, June 7, at 7:15.

This team has faced Fair Haven twice already, playing them back-to-back in their final two games of the season. The Otters won both, but Fair Haven played the Otters close in one of those, holding OV to two runs but only scoring one. The second game resulted in a 7-1 Otter win.The seven seniors who make up the core of this team have felt the pressure of championship baseball before; they won a title when they were sophomores as well. They’ll take the field one last time for Otter Valley on Friday and look to raise the trophy at the end.
