Rutland County Humane Society makes ‘A Home for Hope’ in Brandon
The Rutland County Humane Society has announced its plan to move its operations from its current location on Stevens Road in Pittsford, where it’s been located since the 1960s, to a building on the former campus of the defunct Brandon Training School in Brandon.

Walking through the halls of Proctor Elementary School, Shondell Dahm is greeted with hive-fives and shouts of “Hola” or “Adios” from a travelling pack of six year olds. She greets them, returning the high-fives, and speaks to them about their day in Spanish with a big smile on her face.
OV field hockey shocks Woodstock in overtime
Otter Valley’s field hockey team has only dropped two games this year, one to Burr & Burton and one to Windsor, but they were pushed to the limit against Woodstock on Friday, Oct. 4, eking out a 4-3 overtime win.
