Time Machine: Around the world by horse & buggy
On an obscure shelf in an obscure cabinet in the Brandon Free Public Library lay a coral-pink announcement for an event that took place in Brandon on July 24, 1907: a trip around the world by horse-&-buggy “boat,” leaving from the “Brandon Inn Pier” and traveling to Ireland, Germany, Italy, Japan, and America, all for the extremely reasonable price of 50 cents (approximately $15 today).
7th-grade OV girls’ hoop beats Rutland at home, 22-19
The Otter Valley 7th-grade girls’ basketball team had a terrific home game against Rutland on Friday, February 10.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway ready for season opener
Stock car racing season has arrived in Vermont, and West Haven’s Devil’s Bowl Speedway will be the first track in the Green Mountain State to swing its gates open on Saturday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m.
