Nearly three-year-old Maggie, the dog of Phil Keyes and Laura King, has made it to the quarterfinals of the America’s Favorite Pet competition! The pet contestants advance through multiple rounds by getting the most votes on social media; winners will be featured in Dogster (or Catster) Magazine and win $5000. The national contest supports PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society), an organization that rehabilitates injured domestic and wild animals across the country. If Maggie wins, Laura and Phil also pledge to share some of the winnings with local shelters and rescue groups.
