The 30th annual Great Brandon Auction will take place on Tuesday, July 16 at Estabrook Park. Preview time for the auction will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the auction fun begins directly after. The fun will happen rain or shine under the tent.
Executive director of the Chamber of Commerce Bernie Carr said they have been encouraging business owners and individual Chamber members who don’t have an item to donate to issue gift certificates instead.
“We have a gift certificate for 100 gallons of fuel oil,” Carr said, “and lots of other gift certificates.”
Carr said they also have several interesting pieces, which should draw the crowd’s attention. “We have a card file that is full of old baseball cards,” he said, “along with several other interesting furniture pieces and original artwork.”
This is the second year the auction will be held in Estabrook Park and Carr said that the first year there was a big hit.
“There is plenty of free parking and good seating,” he said. “We push the bleachers up for people to sit on and the Lions Club will be there with BBQ. It is a really festive atmosphere.”
