The Vermont State Fair

The Fair will be held, as always, in Rutland from August 16 to 20. Gates open at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, and 8 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday with gates closing nightly at 10 p.m. This year’s fair will feature a variety of games, food, rides, music, and fun, including; Rosaire’s racing pigs; horse, ox, and VTPA truck and tractor pulls; dog dock diving; chainsaw carving, a dairy show; Pond Hill Rodeo; a demolition derby; performances by Vanilla Ice, Coolio, Rob Base, Tone Loc, Young Mc; educational displays at the Philbrook Forestry building with appearances from Smokey Bear; and much, much more.
