The Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) will host a Candidates’ Forum for all candidates running for Brandon selectboard in 2023. It will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 7 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room at Brandon Town Hall.
The forum is an opportunity for the Brandon community to pose questions directly to the candidates. There will be no preset questions. Interim Town Manager Bill Moore will moderate the discussion.
There are one 3-year seat and two 1-year seats on the ballot this year.
The candidates for the 3-year seat are Brian Coolidge (incumbent) and Marielle Blais.
The candidates for the two 1-year seats are Ralph Ethier (incumbent), Seth Hopkins (incumbent), and Cecil Reniche-Smith.
Each candidate will receive 2 minutes for introductions and opening remarks.
The candidates for the 3-year term will take questions first. They will have 2 minutes to reply and will be afforded one follow-up comment.
The same structure will then be repeated with the candidates for the 1-year terms.
The election will be held on Tuesday, March 7.
